WORKSHOP DESCRIPTIONS:

Role of the Site Administrator in Supporting Beginning Teachers

Background

The New Teacher Center - WI (NTP-WI) and the Dane County New Teacher Project (DCNTP) offer this unique opportunity to train those who work with those newest to the teaching profession. The NTC-WI is affiliated with The New Teacher Center at the University of California, Santa Cruz. Over the past fifteen years, the New Teacher Center has developed and refined this training for mentors.  The NTP-WI, in learning from the Santa Cruz model, has adapted much of the California training and revised it so that it strongly reflects the Wisconsin Teacher Standards and meets some of the initial educator requirements in PI 34, Wisconsin's new teacher licensure rule.
